Ganoderma

Ganoderma disease, caused by the fungus Ganoderma zonatum, is a serious threat to Canary Island date palms and queen palms. It infects the trunk, leading to internal decay and ultimately causing the tree to collapse. This disease is incurable and spreads through the soil, making early detection and removal of infected palms essential.

Fusarium

Fusarium wilt, affecting Queen palms, is caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum and spreads through pruning tools or contaminated soil. It causes browning and death of fronds in a one-sided pattern, eventually killing the tree. Proper sanitation and early intervention are key to managing these diseases.
